...and Gong Li, who had been sent by his father Gong Xiang, the pacification commissioner of the Long-chuan Pacification Commission in Yun-nan, all came to Court and offered tribute of horses, silver utensils and other goods. A banquet as well as biao-li of variegated silks and other goods, as appropriate, were conferred upon them. It was Imperially ordered that Gong Li be appointed as Administrator (長史) in reward for his father's actions in turning his back on rebellion and according with right.
