Author Guidelines
In general, the The Heritage Journal follows the US Chicago Manual of Style standard for punctuation and citations. Please check our style guide which can be downloaded here.
We encourage you to submit digital photographs and other files as supplementary materials to your articles. The online submission system will give you opportunities to upload these supplementary files. (For images we ask that you keep them below 150 kb.) If the total size of your supplementary files is more than 2 MB, please discuss with your editor before posting.
The submission has not been previously published nor is it before another journal for consideration; or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor.
•
The submission file is in Microsoft Word or RTF document file format.
•
All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://www.nhb.gov.sg) are activated and ready to click.
•
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); with figures and tables placed at the end of the text.
•
The text meets this journal's formatting requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines found in About the Journal. If the journal section is peer reviewed, author identification has been removed, and "Author" and year have been used in the bibliography and footnotes, instead of authors' names, titles, etc. The author's name has been removed from the document's Properties, which in Microsoft Word is found in the File menu.
