As Tao-meng Dao Ban-qing and others from Meng-yang in Yun-nan, having offered tribute, were about to return home, they memorialized requesting that an official be sent to accompany them on their return. The memorial was sent to the Ministry of Rites which replied with a memorial noting: "It is appropriate to grant the yi's wish and to send one interpreter to accompany them to the Yun-nan Provincial Administration Commission." This was approved.
