The attendant minister Pei Shan and others, who had been sent by Li Hao, the king of the country of Annam, presented a memorial and a salutory letter, as well as gold and silver utensils, and came to the Court to offer congratulations on the formal designating of the Heir Apparent. A banquet as well as suits of clothing, variegated silks and other goods, as appropriate, wee conferred upon them. In addition, Pei Shan and the others were given patterned brocades and variegated silks to confer, on their return, upon their king.
