The attendant minister Ruan Wen-zhi and others who had been sent by Li Hao, the king of the country of Annam, presented a memorial and a salutory letter and came to the Court to offer tribute of gold and silver utensils and local products. A banquet as well as clothing, variegated silks and other goods, as appropriate, were conferred upon them. In addition, patterned brocades and variegated silks were given to the envoys to confer, on their return, upon their king.
