The king's uncle Wu Shi and others who had been sent by Shang Yuan, the Zhong-shan king of the country of Ryukyu, came to Court and offered tribute of local products in gratitude for Imperial kindness. They were banqueted and had rewards conferred upon them in accordance with the precedents. Wu Shi further memorialized: "The king of our country previously sent people to the country of Melaka to purchase tribute products. However, their ship was damaged by the wind and they drifted to Guang-dong. The officials then sent them to Fu-jian where they are waiting to accompany us back. It is requested that they be allowed to procure workers and materials, repair their ship and return to our country." This was approved.
