In this year.... Chen Wei of Annam was removed by his prime minister Li Yi-yuan and confined in Da-yang Fang outside the city. In the 12th month (Dec 1388/Jan 1389), Li killed him and established Ri-kun, the son of Shu-ming, as ruler in control of state affairs. Yi-yuan was also named Ji-li.
