The Fu-jian Administration Commissioner of the Right Wang Dun was appointed as administration commissioner of the left in the Zhe-jiang Provincial Administration Commission. Dun ( zi Shi-lu) had his origins in Tai-kang, Kai-feng...In the 22nd year (1389/90), he was recalled and sent to take credentials and orders of instruction to the Lu-chuan/Ping-mian Pacification Superintendency. They gave him presents of gold and valuables which he firmly refused. However, then he was exhorted: "If you do not accept this display of kindness, the man people may well harbour suspicion and engage in rebellion. It is better to accept the presents." Thus, he accepted them and then handed them all over to the Yun-nan Provincial Administration Commission to place in the treasury, and subsequently returned home. At this time he was promoted to this post.
