The three prefectures of Meng-yang, Mu-bang and Meng-ding and the two subprefectures of Wei-yuan and Zhen-yuan were established in Yun-nan. The native-official chieftain Dao Mu-dan was appointed as prefect of Meng-yang, Han Di-fa was appointed as prefect of Mu-bang, Dao Hun-li was appointed as prefect of Meng-ding, Dao Suan-dang was appointed as subprefectural magistrate of Wei-yuan and the local battalion commander Dao Ping was appointed as subprefectural magistrate of Zhen-yuan.
