Jia-jing: Year 26, Month 11, Day 16
27 Dec 1547
The yi persons of Fo-lang-ji attacked Zhang-zhou in Fu-jian. The Maritime Route Vice Commissioner Ke Qiao defended against them and drove them away. The Regional Inspecting Censor Jin Cheng advised of this and also impeached the Wu Yu squad commander Ding Tong and the former Maritime Route Vice Commissioner Yao Xiang-feng for receiving gold and illicit goods and allowing the Fo-lang-ji people to enter the borders. He requested that they be punished for their crimes. An Imperial command was issued ordering that the regional inspecting censor arrest Tong and Xiang-feng and send them to the capital for investigation and punishment, while the Ministry of War was ordered to deliberate fully and advise on appropriate defence and prohibition measures.
