Huo-shi-de, a fan person from the country of Java, came to Court to offer tribute. When he arrived at the capital, he memorialized that he wished to reside at the capital and achieve merit through his services (自効). It was ordered that he be sent to the Embroidered-Uniform Guard to look after elephants, and that he receive a monthly salary of one shi of rice.
