The chieftain Gu-lu-bu and others who had been sent by Qing-ma-la, the native-official prefect of Meng-gen Prefecture in Yun-nan, offered tribute of silver utensils and other goods. Paper money, biao-li of variegated silks, suits of ramie-silk clothing, and other goods were conferred upon them. It was also ordered that they take Imperial orders and biao-li of variegated silks to confer, on their return, on the native official and his wife.
