Ru Jian, vice commissioner-in-chief of the Left Military Commission, died. Jian had his origins in Chang-zhou Garrison, Da-ning. In the eighth year of the Xuan-de reign (1433/34), he inherited the post of his father [Ru] Su-ge as assistant commander of the Jin-wu Left Guard and accompanied the expedition to Lu-chuan.
