For achievements in capturing and beheading Ava-Burma bandits, rewards were issued as follows: Gao Jin-chen (Alt: Gao Jin-zhen), the native-official associate administrator of Yao-an Military and Civilian Prefecture was rewarded with the robes of an official of the fourth rank, with duties as before; Mang Cheng-ye, a member of the ruling native-official family of Wu-yi Stockade which was under the jurisdiction of Yong-chang Prefecture was promoted to battalion commander (Alt: local battalion commander); and the Chieftain-Commander Xie Shi-gong of He-qu Subprefecture under Wu-ding Prefecture was given headwear and a belt. These rewards were all issued in accordance with a request submitted by the grand coordinator and the grand defender of Yun-nan.
