In Yun-nan, Ava-Burma bandits attacked various areas including Man-mo and other military outposts. The Grand Coordinator Chen Yong-bin advised of the emergency. He was permitted to borrow 100,000 liang of silver from the Si-chuan treasury for troop rations. It was also ordered that the Yun-nan grand coordinator and the regional inspector combine their efforts in providing assistance.
