The pacification commission associate administrators and other officials who had been sent by Mo Mao-qia, the Commander of Annam, offered four batches of tribute to compensate for previous occasions when tribute was not brought. The Emperor was pleased with his respect and obedience and, in addition with what was usually due in accordance with the precedents, he issued further rewards of four biao-li of variegated silks and two lengths of brocade in order to demonstrate special kindness and appreciation.
