Wan-li: Year 37, Month 7, Day 6
5 Aug 1609
The Yong-chang/Teng-chong Assistant Regional Commander Zhu He-ling was removed from his post and the Long-ba Commandant Lu Zhong-li was sent to the regional inspector for investigation. Previously, the Long-chuan Pacification Commissioner Duo An-min had turned his back on the Han, and given his allegiance to Ava-Burma. With ill-founded plans, they incited disturbances. They were subsequently ordered to carry their crimes and pacify the area. At this time, the Regional Inspector Zhou Mao-xiang again reported that Zhong-li and so on had been insatiably covetous and oppressive. It was thus that they were heavily punished.
