Wan-li: Year 45, Month 7, Day 30
30 Aug 1617
Cui Jing-rong, the vice minister of the left in the Ministry of War, memorialized: "It is requested that Duo An-jing of the Long-chuan Pacification Commission be provided with the commission's seal. Previously, the Yun-nan grand coordinator proposed that as An-jing had not followed in rebellion, he be rewarded for his achievements and that he be awarded the post of pacification commissioner. However, as he was young and weak at that time, it was proposed that the commission seal be temporarily stored in the subprefectural treasury, and then when he became an adult, he could request its provision. Now, An-jing has taken up his post and the yi all honour him. It is thus appropriate, in accordance with the orders, for the seal to be issued." The Emperor ordered that the seal be issued in accordance with the ministry's proposal.
