Teng-yue Subprefecture in Yun-nan suffered over 20 earthquake shocks. The following day there were more quakes, and mountains crumbled, while waters broke their banks. Over 1,300 rooms of temple buildings, official residences, and storehouses were destroyed, as were seven-tenths of all houses of the citizenry. Over 170 people were crushed to death.
