Chen Shi-zhong, assistant regional commander of the Lin-an/Yuan-jiang General Administration Circuit, advised of illness and requested permission to retire. This was approved. It was also ordered that as Lin-an/Yuan-jiang was a place inhabited by Miao and yi and was a strategic area in Yun-nan, that a replacement be recommended and appointed swiftly. Jiang Jun, a notary of the Yun-nan Regional Military Commission, was selected and appointed to hold the seal and handle the affairs of the Yun-nan Regional Military Commission.
