Wan-li: Year 9, Month 6, Day 19

The Pacification Commission Associate Administrator Liang Feng-chen and others who had been sent by Mo Mao-qia, the Commander of the Annam Commandery, presented a memorial and offered local products as compensatory tribute for the 36th year (1557/58) and the 39th year (1560/61) of the Jia-jing reign and due tribute for the 3rd year (1575/76) and the 6th year (1578/79) of the Wan-li reign. The ministry re-submitted the memorial noting: "Mao-qia has sent four batches of tribute. His loyalty and accordance are pleasing." It was Imperially commanded that a banquet and rewards be conferred upon the envoys and that Mao-qia be issued Imperial orders of praise.
