Envoys were sent to go to sway ... the South-west yi pacification superintendencies of Mu-bang, Ava-Burma, Lu-chuan, Che-li, Ba-bai/Da-dian and Laos, as well as the native officials of the four prefectures and subprefectures of Meng-gen, Meng-ding, Wan Dian and Zhen-kang, and to confer silk gauzes, silks and fine silks as appropriate, upon them. This was ordered as they had been conscientious in fulfilling their tribute duties. At this time, Lu-chuan and Mu-bang were engaged in fighting each other and those in the border areas had all laid plaint to the Court. Thus envoys were sent to instruct them and resolve the problems, so that they would each look to their own affairs and not aggress against each other.
