The An-yuan Marquis and Regional Commander Liu Sheng, and others memorialized: "Now that we are proceeding on expedition to Jiao-zhi, we will need to use military order flags and warrants (令旗牌面)." The Emperor ordered the Auxiliary Ministry of Works to manufacture and provide these.
