Chen Zuo, a bureau secretary within the Ministry of Justice was demoted to supervisor of the Fu-jian Maritime Trade Supervisorate. This was ordered as Nian Fu, a supervising secretary in the Office of Scrutiny for Justice, had impeached Zuo for not being versed in the law.
