Fan Jing, vice minister of the right in the Auxiliary Ministry of Justice, and Hu Yi, a vice censor-in-chief of the right in the Censorate, were re-instated in their posts. Initially Jing and so on had supervised the supply of Guang-dong/Guang-xi grain to Jiao-zhi to supply the troops. When they heard that the bandits had become powerful and wild, they shrank back and did not advance. They were subsequently impeached by the Censorate and sent to prison. At this time, it was ordered that their crimes be pardoned and they were re-instated in their posts.
