Xuan-de: Year 5, Month 8, Day 28
15 Sep 1430
Dao Yu-bin, the deputy official of the Meng-yang Military and Civilian Pacification Superintendency in Yun-nan, memorialized that his uncle Dao Mu-dan, who had originally been the pacification superintendent, had been killed by the native official Dao Mu-lang, who then occupied the land. Later, the Court sent an official to make enquiries and Yu-bin was appointed as the deputy official. He had then been obstructed by the native official of Ava-Burma and been obliged to live in Jin-chi for 20-plus years. At this time, Meng-yang's territory was again occupied, this time by Si Ren-fa, the pacification superintendent of Lu-chuan. Thus, Yu-bin requested that persons be sent to escort him back to his land and then he would try to repay the Imperial kindness through loyalty. The Emperor ordered the Auxiliary Ministry of Rites to send him back and also ordered the Qian-guo Duke Mu Sheng to make appropriate arrangements.
