Ramie-silk, silk gauzes, suits of clothing made from silk gauzes (sha) interwoven with gold thread, and clothing made from thin silks, as appropriate, were conferred upon the chieftain Ban Ai and so on, a total of 113 persons who had been sent by Dao Zhao-san, the native-official pacification superintendent of the Ba-bai/Da-dian Military and Civilian Pacification Superintendency in Yun-nan. It was also ordered that they take Imperial orders, patterned fine silks and silk gauzes to confer, on their return home, upon Dao Zhao-san and so on.
