The envoy Bu-sha-pa Ma-tuo and others from the country of Champa took leave of the Court. The Emperor commended their king for his diligence in fulfilling his tribute obligations and ordered that the envoys carry Imperial orders of encouragement and instruction. In addition, brocaded fine silks, silk gauzes and other goods were conferred upon the king. When they were about to depart, the deputy envoy Bu-sha-pa Bi-lai died of illness. An official was sent to offer sacrifices. It was also ordered that the appropriate office make arrangements for his burial.
