The chieftain Dao Fa-niu and others who had been sent by Dao Ba-gong, the Che-li/Jing-an Pacification Superintendent and Dao Zhao-san, the Ba-bai/Da-dian Pacification Superintendent; Dao An, who had been sent by his father Dao Teng, the native-official prefect of Zhen-yuan Prefecture; and Gui, who had been sent by his aunt Gao Dong-mei, the female native-official deputy prefect of Chu-xiong Prefecture, all in Yun-nan, and ... came to Court and offered tribute of gold and silver utensils, elephants, horses and other local products.
