Sun Lin, chief supervising secretary in the Office of Scrutiny for Personnel; Liang Feng-ji, an investigating censor of the Shan-xi Circuit; Wang Zhen, an investigating censor of the Bei-jing Circuit; and Wu Xin, an investigating censor of the Shaan-xi Circuit, were all re-instated as officials. Previously, Lin and so on had been involved in offences, were banished to serve as apprentice officials and followed the expedition to Jiao-zhi. At this time, the rebellious bandits had been pacified and these persons were all restored to their original posts.
