Mo Xun, assistant administration commissioner of the right in the Jiao-zhi Provincial Administration Commission, leading 139 native officials from San River, Feng-hua and other prefectures under his jurisdiction, came to Court and offered tribute of horses and gold and silver utensils. The Emperor commended Xun and the others for their loyalty in being first to return to allegiance and for their achievements in assisting the expeditionary force, and especially conferred upon them a banquet in reward. Xun was promoted to administration commissioner of the right in the administration commission, while Du Wei-zhong, the native prefect of San River Prefecture, was promoted to administration vice commissioner of the right. In addition, Imperial letters were conferred upon them as an expression of special favour. The other officials were all promoted one grade, and variegated silks, as appropriate, were conferred upon them.
