Teachers and students from the Jiao-zhi prefectures of Xuan-hua, Tai-yuan, Zhen-man, Feng-hua, Qing-hua and Xin-an, as well as their subordinate subprefectures and counties, offered tribute of local products. They came to the capital in order to express their gratitude for the conferral of the Five Classics, the Four Books, the Xing-li Da-quan and the Wei-shan Yin-zhi Shu. The Heir Apparent ordered the Ministry of Rites to confer rewards upon them.
