The chieftain Hun Dian and others who had been sent by Dao Xian-da, the pacification superintendent of the Laos Military and Civilian Pacification Superintendency* came to Court and offered tribute of elephants and local products. A total of 550 ding of paper money, 36 bolts of fine silks and 36 bolts of other silks were conferred upon Dao Xian-da, while paper money, as appropriate, was conferred upon Hun-dian and the others. *Other references to Dao Xian-da describe him as the pacification superintendent of Che-li.
