Imperial orders of instruction were sent to the Mu-bang Military and Civilian Pacification Superintendent Han Di-fa as follows: "Those who realize achievements must be rewarded. This is the way of the state. Previously, as Ba-bai acted in ways a subject should not, I ordered the generals to take an army and punish its crimes. I also ordered you to despatch troops to assist them. You were able to show your sincerity and obey the orders, going deep into their territory, attacking over 10 stockades, including Jiang-xia, and taking over 500 heads. It is appropriate to praise and commend you. Now I am especially sending the Judge Zhang Bo-gong and the Registrar Tang Fu to confer upon you silver and silks." The chieftains Tao-meng Wang Fu and others, who had also realized achievements in the expedition and were also rewarded. Thus, 200 liang of silver, two pieces of brocade and 10 biao-li of ramie-silk were conferred upon Han Di-fa, 100 liang of silver and 10 biao-li of ramie-silk were conferred upon Tao-meng Wang Fu, while biao-li of ramie-silk, as appropriate, were conferred upon the others.
