Huang Tong-li, a vice director in the Ministry of Revenue, and others, a total of three persons, were ordered to supervise the operation of the Jiao-zhi Salt Distribution Supervisorate. At this time, the regional commander of Jiao-zhi had said that the salt produced there was yearly traded for gold with Laos and other areas. It was ordered that the former situation be maintained. Thus Tong-li and the others, a total of three persons, were sent to supervise the salt supervisorate (監閘). Seventy ding of paper money was conferred upon each of them.
