The Imperial army personnel sent to the Western Ocean and who realized achievements in the capture of the bandits at Old Port, were rewarded. The guard commanders were given 100 ding of paper money and four biao-li of variegated silks. The battalion commanders were given 80 ding of paper money and three biao-li of variegated silks, while the company commanders and judges were given 60 ding of paper money and two biao-li of variegated silks. The doctors and fan navigators were given 50 ding of paper money and three bolts of embroidered cloth. The lesser commanders (校尉) were given 50 ding of paper money and three bolts of embroidered cloth. The platoon commanders, interpreters, military attendants and those of lower rank were given paper money and cloth as appropriate.
