The chieftain Ban Gao and others who had been sent by Dao Zhao-san, the pacification superintendent of Ba-bai/Da-dian, presented a memorial engraved in gold and offered tribute of elephants and gold and silver utensils and other goods. Suits of clothing made from patterned fine silks as well as brocades, fine silks, silk gauzes and variegated thin silks were conferred upon them.
