The chieftain Ban-lan and others who had been sent by Dao Xian-dai, the pacification superintendent of Laos, presented gold and silver utensils, rhinoceros and elephants and other goods in admission of guilt and to indicate a desire to fulfil tribute obligations. This was approved.
