Yong-le: Year 9, Month 7, Day 22
11 Aug 1411
The chieftain Dao Men-nai and others who had been sent by Si Xing-fa, the pacification superintendent of Lu-chuan/Ping-mian, offered tribute of horses and local products in admission of guilt. Previously, the eunuch Yun Xian had gone to Lu-chuan to confer Imperial orders. However, Si Xing-fa failed to accord him the ritual greeting on the outskirts of the town. Xian reprimanded him for this and Si Xing-fa became frightened. Thus, at this time, he sent his envoy to confess his guilt and beg forgiveness for this transgression. The Emperor forgave him and ordered that the envoys be banqueted and rewarded. Also, another envoy was sent to confer upon Si Xing-fa two bolts of brocade and 20 bolts of ramie-silk and silk gauzes interwoven with gold thread.
