Zheng-de: Year 14, Month 4, Day 6
4 May 1519
The Nan-jing Investigating Censor Fan Lu was banished to the Long-chuan Pacification Commission as a registrar. Lu was previously engaged in troop-purifying work in Jiang-xi and he initiated an impeachment against the grand defender Eunuch Director Bi Zhen for various illegal activities. He was also hated by the Ning Prince and both wanted to entrap him. Lu happened to pass Zhen while still sitting in his sedan chair. Zhen confiscated the sedan-chair, and claiming this a crime, memorialized. Lu was arrested and sent to the Embroidered-Uniform Guard prison. Subsequently he was banished for his crime of ignorance of laws and propriety.
