Wang Shun-min, deputy censor-in-chief in the Nan-jing Censorate, died. Shun-min (zi Cong-ren) had his origins in Wu-yuan County, Hui-zhou... He was thus charged and banished as registrar to the Meng-zi Guard in Yun-nan. Subsequently, he was appointed as magistrate of Dong-guan County in Guang-dong...He was then promoted to surveillance vice commissioner of Yun-nan. When Si Lu, the remnant spawn in Meng-yang, rebelled and occupied Meng-mi, Shun-min took orders and went to soothe and pacify him....
