22 Jul 1513
Lu Xiang, a member of the native-official ruling family of Meng-zi County in Yun-nan had contended for the inheritance of his father's post. Na Dai, a member of the native-official ruling family of the An-nan Chief's Office assisted him in poisoning his elder brother Lu Ren. Subsequently, Dai engaged in rebellion and the defence officials had to punish and pacify him. When the events were advised, the Meng-zi native-official post was abolished, the An-nan Chief's Office was changed into the Xin-an Independent Battalion and government troops from the battalions under the Lin-an Guard were deployed there on defence duty.
