Zheng-tong: Year 11, Month 3, Day 27
22 Apr 1446
The Qian-guo Duke Mu Bin, regional commander of Yun-nan, memorialized: "The Lu-chuan minor bandit (從賊) Ban Jian occupied Zhe-lan Stockade and invaded and disturbed Long-chuan. The local company commander Dao Mu-li, together with Dao Men-xian and Dao Men-sai advanced troops and surrounded him. They took the heads of Ban Jian, his son, younger brothers and others, a total of 23 persons, and captured two persons alive." The Emperor conferred orders of encouragement and instruction on Dao Mu-li and so on, appointed Dao Men-xian and Dao Men-sai as "capped-and-belted" local commanders and conferred on them biao-li of patterned fine silk interwoven with gold thread, as appropriate.
