The chieftain Dao San and so on from the Che-li and Ba-bai/Da-dian Pacification Superintendencies in Yun-nan, took leave of the Court. It was ordered that they take Imperial orders, patterned fine silks interwoven with gold thread, velvet brocades and other goods and, on their return, confer them upon the pacification superintendents Dao Ba-xian and Dao Zhao-san and their wives, in commendation for their diligence in fulfilling their tribute duties.
