When the interpreter Ba-zhi Zhao-yang and others from the country of Java were returning to their country, they met a typhoon and their ship was destroyed. The chieftain Qi-zeng and others, a total of 56 persons, were drowned. Zhao-yang and the survivors, a total of 83 persons, remained at this time in Guang-dong. It was ordered that the Maritime Trade Supervisorate provide them with a stipend of food grain, look after them and provide them with accommodation, and that when there was another ship from their country, they were to be sent back on it.
