Zheng-tong: Year 7, Month 8, Day 4
7 Sep 1442
Previously, Zhao Ren-zheng, the native official of An-ping Subprefecture in Guang-xi, memorialized that their land had been occupied and their people and livestock seized by Nong Yuan-hong, the native official of Xia Si-lang Subprefecture in Jiao-zhi. Thus, the Supervising Secretary Tang Ding and others were sent to Jiao-zhi to determine the reasons. Yuan-hong counter-claimed that Ren-zheng had occupied his land and seized his people. The Ministry of War noted: "We should order the Guang-xi Regional Commander Liu Pu and so on to find out who is lying and who is speaking the truth. We should also have the country of Annam send a person to seize Yuan-hong and take him to the contested border area where together the matter can be investigated and the truth determined." This was approved.
