The Commissioner-in-chief of the Left Mu Ang, regional commander of Yun-nan, and others memorialized; "The Lu-chuan chieftain Nang Huan has returned to allegiance and wishes to capture bandits to demonstrate his loyalty." The Emperor ordered that he return to guard his former territory, soothe the people and capture bandits, noting that when he had realized achievements, he was to be promoted and rewarded and that, in future, all of those who surrendered were to be treated in accordance with this precedent.
