Wu Bo-zong, an examining editor in the Han-lin Academy, died. Bo-zong had his origins in Jin-xi, Fu-zhou and in the fourth year of the Hong-wu reign (1371/72) he passed the metropolitan examinations....He received Imperial orders to go as an envoy to Annam, where he received trained elephants and local products. On his return, he was appointed as an instructor in the Directorate of Education....
