The Censor-in-Chief Wang Zhao, grand coordinator of Yun-nan, and others, memorialized: "The deceased grand defender Eunuch Director Wang Ju did not observe commands and regulations and he prepared rare trinkets and utensils to offer in tribute in excess of the stipulated requirements. It is requested that the bulky and difficult to transport goods such as screens and stone beds be sent to the local treasury and stored there, that the gold and silver utensils be melted down, that the precious stones, pearls, elephant tusks and lacquer-ware be sent to the Ministry of Revenue and Ministry of Works to be used there, that the elephants which are fit for ceremonial purposes be sent to the capital and that those which are not so suited be given to native officials on the border, and that the officials be required to provide horses to the postal relay stations in return." An Imperial order was issued requiring that the items all be sent to the capital.
