The Yun-nan Surveillance Vice Commissioner Zhao Jiong composed 12 poems falsely claiming achievements in soothing and taming Meng-mi and Mu-bang, and hoping to conceal his crime of deploying yi troops without authority, which gave rise to disturbances and resulted in defeat. The Ministry of War re-submitted the memorialized impeachment report by the Office of Scrutiny for War and requested that he be punished. The Emperor ordered the regional inspecting censor to arrest and investigate him, and then advise.
